1. The following crew is normally capable of completing 360 S.F. per day of two sides of a 2-coat
vermiculite plaster on gypsum lath for a partition wall with metal studs spaced every 16 OC. This crew
is hired to plaster 200 L.F. of 8-high interior partitions in an office building. The crew productivity
should be adjusted due to better weather conditions (factor of 1.05) and project complexity (factor of
1.06). Estimate:
a. the adjusted crew productivity,
b. job duration (in full days),
c. M.H., M.D., C.H., and C.D. labor wage rates for this crew, and
d. total labor cost of the job.

2. A grading contractor owns two large graders valued at $80,000 each, three 40 C.Y. trucks valued at
$50,000 each, two payloads valued at $40,000 each, and a compactor valued at $35,000. Assuming a
10-year life span for each of these equipment and using the straight-line depreciation method, estimate
the combined hourly depreciation rate of these equipment. (Hints: assume salvage value of 10% of
initial price and that all equipment have a 2,000 hour/year of working time).
3. Using all the equipment listed in question 2, estimate the total equipment cost of a three weeks (15
working days) job. Assuming, each equipment is rented at $75.00/hr, and the operator (one for each) is
charged at $30/hr. One oiler is needed for the job at a rate of $25.00/hr, and is on the job for three
hours per day, two times a week. Oil and fuel is estimated at $15/hr a piece.
