This assignment is a shortened version of what is typically called an Annotated
Bibliography. An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and
documents. Each citation is followed by a brief descriptive and evaluative paragraph, the
annotation. For this assignment, after you list your citation you MUST have a paragraph
after it of 3-5 sentences telling me what the source is about and how you plan to use it
in your final paper. The purpose of the annotation is to help you better formulate your
ideas and methods with using this particular source.
The submitted assignment will look like this (example from MLA handbook):
Lamott, Anne. Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life. New York: Anchor
Books, 1995. Print.
Lamott’s book offers honest advice on the nature of a writing life, complete with its
insecurities and failures. Lamott offers sane advice for those struggling with the anxieties
of writing, but her main project seems to be offering the reader a reality check
regarding writing, publishing, and struggling with one’s own imperfect humanity in the
process. I plan to use this source in my final paper about college level writing to
strengthen my analysis.

List the sources alphabetically.
You must have a minimum of 5 sources for this assignment, per the final paper
requirements 2 must be primary sources.
Google books are OK.
Please find sources/books that will help you back up the thesis below:
“Susan B. Anthony played a critical role in the fight for women equality in the
society. As a notable member of the women’s suffrage movement, Susan B.
Anthony and other members of the movement presented the Congress with an
amendment that would grant women voting rights. The bill was later introduced
by Sen. Aaron A. Sargent in 1920 and passed as the 19th amendment of the
American Constitution. While this is considered her biggest contribution in history,
Anthony made many significant achievements in the fight against gender
inequality that dominated the time.”
